Private Dolphin Tours

Panama City dolphin tours and Shell Island trips with St. Andrews Bay Charters are small, private charters, for a maximum of 12 guests (no more than 13 per boat). This not only allows for a much more intimate and interactive experience but also a safer trip since you won’t be sharing the boat with anyone outside your party.

Explore some of the most remote beaches and snorkeling spots in Florida. Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe are the best places to start your adventure.

The water is home to a variety of birds. There are raptors like bald and ospreys. There are also shorebirds like great blu egrets. And there are seabirds like majestic frigatebirds. Sometimes we see deer.

Your group will jump into the water first before the dolphins. This will make the dolphins curious and they will swim towards you instead of away. Since dolphins are wild animals, it is best to be uninterested in them. This can be attributed to those who are only interested in someone when they show little care. Our Carolina Skiffs, 21-foot and 23,-foot Carolina Skiffs, are stable and comfortable. These boats have a center console design to maximise open space and allow for easy movement about the boat. They also feature a fully cushioned forward platform for observation (and lounging), plus comfortable cushions for everyone in your group.

Species we frequently see include a variety of starfish, sand dollars, bay scallops, whelks, conchs up to 21” long, seahorses, urchins, and hermit crabs and other crab species. These animals can be brought to the surface, handled carefully, and photographed. We bring large containers so that even non-snorkelers can observe them up close before they’re released back into the bay. Shells found without living creatures can be taken home.
